How to discribe in the best way Le Domaine du CASTEX *** ?
CASTEX is located at the end of a no-through road on the boundary of AIGNAN, without any trafic noise.
Here you see a grand mediaval renovated, authentic, half timbered building,  on a beautiful terrain. Situated in a park-like valley which is typical  for the department of the Gers, the Tuscany of France.

The main building contains 5 rooms, 2 apartments (gîtes) for rent. It has open and covered terraces and restaurant and surrounding it Picnic and barbecue facilities. In this building is also situated : the home of Arie and Hannie, the host and hostess.
In wintertime we use an interiour drawing room and dining room, compared to the other seasons (just like the Romans).
A simple dish or full evening meal can be served by prior reservation on the day (before 15.00h); on special request at noon (French repas-midi), a group upto 35 persons can be catered for.
On the terrain there are several possiblities to relax/amuse yourself (by playing table tennis etc.), to swim or simply  being lazy in the green park . Of course you can also take a walk to the center of  AIGNAN, go there for a restaurant on the square or in front of the Arena.

Photo (history, nature, Pyrenees and gastronomy)

The Gers department is rich in history (estates, vineyards, museums, abbeys, castles and Roman excavations); it is in rich nature (flora and fauna, and has wonderfull extra ordinary wines, agriculture of sunflowers, wheat etc., woods, fields with hedges and trees/bushes, hills and lakes, rivers and the most beautifull views (sights) to the Pyrenees.
The Gers has a rich culture and gastronomy ( « La Table du Gers », a label for an excellent menu with products of the department/region). This area of France is world famous for it’ production of fois gras and armagnac.
The department falls under the region of Occitane in stead of the Midi-Pyrenees. The locals still regard themselves as Gascon.
We are located at a distance of 2 hours from the Airport of Toulouse (Blagnac) or Bordeau (airport) and the Atlantic Ocean with Biaritz,  Capbreton (the old Port) and Mimisan, all  with their spectacular waves and sand beaches.
Between one hour or one and a half hours your are in Tarbes/Lourdes, Auch, Pau…
So « shopping » is also possible and many adventures  await you!!!
